May 11th, MANNAM Warriors with Great Pizza in Haebangchon!

Hi Guys!!!

On last Sat, we practiced in Jang-chung High school as usual. 

And there was 3 new Warriors members. Marc, Ian and Jimmy!

Welcome new Warriors haha^_^

After playing basketball, some of our members decided to go somewhere and eat lunner haha. We tried hard to find "Delicious but not expensive, and also not Korean Food!" haha. Very difficult, right? haha

Anyway, one of Warriors' new member, 

"Jimmy" squeezed his head to think about it!!! 

hahaha and Finally, he did. He introduced a great great Pizza store in Haebangchon!!

 It was the first time to go there with MANNAM Warriors! 

So I was excited! Thanks to jimmy, the pizza was really good. 

We enjoyed so much haha. If you need any information of that place! 

Ask me haha.

And The big one set was "carnivores pizza"! 

Cuz there were 3 kind of meat in one pizza haha. Funny naming :D

It was delicious, both! haha

Michael Jordan turns 50 on All-Star Sunday, Feb. 17, which has recently led to all sorts of brilliant career retrospectives on the man known as "Air Jordan."
His Airness, he of six NBA championships, six NBA Finals MVPs, five regular-season MVPs, three All-Star Game MVPs, a Defensive Player of the Year Award and the 1984-85 Rookie of the Year Award, deserves all of the platitudes.
He's a man who finished with the league's highest all-time points-per-game average (30.12), the most seasons leading the league in points (11), the most seasons leading the league in points per game (10) and the most games with at least 30 points (563), along with the highest-ever playoff scoring average (33.45 PPG).
Needless to say, picking out the 50 greatest highlights of his career wasn't exactly easy.
The moments featured here are weighted primarily in two categories: how important the moment was at the time (e.g. was it a game-winning shot?) and how important the moment was to his legacy.

Amazing player. Even i have had perfectly no idea about basketball, I knew about Jordan. And When i was really really young, so I didn't even know any soccer player in Korea, I knew Jordan. His name has a great power i think. Every basketball player wants to go beyond his career. But can't be exactly like him :)

Actually, In MANNAM warriors, Their was few birthday guys. So, on January, We celebrate every bday players in Mannam Sports team members, at the regular meeting on that month. And we will gather this friday, too! In MANNAM Sports team, there are Basketball Club(MANNAM Warriors)/ Soccer Club(MANNAM Champions) / Running Club(MANNAM International Running Club) / MANNAM Judo Club. So when we come and play, there are many many people, and it's very fun :)

[MANNAM Basektball Terms] 2. "Shooting Gaurd" Basketball Position

How R U ? *_*
This is the Second Time about "Basketball Position"~I am studying basketball a little, for these posts. I think it helps me for understanding the MANNAM Warriors' players. I think there are no strict division, but they have their own position in game.


Anyway, Let's find out about the "Shooting Gaurd"!

The shooting guard in basketball has the main responsibility of making long outside shots including the three-point shot. The shooting guard also should be a good passer and able to help the point guard with the ball handling. Shooting guards are often the top scorer on a team. Perhaps the best shooting guard in the history of basketball was Michael Jordan. Jordan could do it all, from scoring to defense to rebounding. It's this versatility that makes a great shooting guard, but all shooting guards should be able to extend the defense with their outside shot.






Looks very very very difficult and responsible. I didn't know the "Michael Jordan" was shooting guard :P What a shame haha. I should really study a lot ! keke

1. Kobe Bryant

Bryant is a shooting guard who is capable of playing the small forward position. He is considered one of the most complete players in theNBA, has been selected to every All-NBA Team since 1999, and has named to the last fifteen NBA All-Star games. Sportswriters and sportscasters frequently compare Bryant to Michael Jordan, a comparison Bryant dislikes. In 2007, an ESPN poll of sportswriters voted him as the second best shooting guard in NBA history behind Jordan.

He is a prolific scorer, averaging 25.4 points per game for his career, along with 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.5 steals (as of the end of the 2011–2012 regular season).He is known for his ability to create shots for himself and is a competent three-point shooter at 33.7%. Bryant shares the single-game NBA record for three pointers made with 12. Bryant is often cited as one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA, and utilizes his wide array of moves and shots to elude defenders and score from virtually anywhere on the floor. Some of Bryant's best moves are his turnaround jump shot, and his ability to post up his defenders and score with a fadeaway jumpshot. Chris Ballard, a Sports Illustrated NBA writer, describes a "jab step-and-pause" as a move Bryant uses where he jabs his non-pivot foot forward to let the defender relax and instead of bringing the jab foot back, he pushes off it and drive around his opponent to get to the basket.

Aside from his scoring ability, he has established himself as a standout defender, having made the All-Defensive first or second team twelve of the last thirteen seasons. Bryant rarely draws charges playing defense, which he believes has spared his body and contributed to his longevity. He has also been noted being one of the premier clutch performers in the NBA.[226] In an annual survey of NBA general managers, Bryant was selected in 2012 for the 10th consecutive season as the player they most wanted taking the shot with the game on the line. Both Sporting News and TNT named Bryant the NBA player of the 2000s (decade).

Bryant is one of many prominent NBA players who participates in private workouts with Idan Ravin.



2. Dwyane Wade

Wade plays the shooting guard position, but is also capable of playing point guard. On offense, he has established himself as one of the quickest and most difficult players to guard in the NBA. Wade's signature one-two step allows him to dash past bigger defenders and occasionally get the extra foul shot. Wade is able to get to the free throw line consistently; he ranked first in free-throw attempts per 48 minutes in 2004–05 and again in the 2006–07 season. He has proven himself an unselfish player, averaging 6.2 assists per gamethroughout his career. After winning the NBA Finals MVP Award in 2006, Wade developed a reputation as one of the premier clutch players in the NBA.

David Thorpe, an athletic trainer who runs a training center for NBA players in the offseason, also cites Wade's developing post up game as one of his strengths. "Watching Wade operate on the left block is literally like watching old footage of MJ (Michael Jordan)," comments Thorpe.Thorpe goes on to say that Wade's best moves from the post are his turnaround jump shot, double pivot, and what Thorpe terms as a "freeze fake",a pump fake Wade uses to get his opponent to jump, so that he can then drive around him to the basket. The main weakness cited in Wade's ability is his lack of three-point range; he has averaged .291 on three-point field goal attempts for his career.

Wade is best known for his ability to convert difficult lay-ups, even after hard mid-air collisions with larger defenders. As crowd pleasing as his high-flying style of basketball may be, some have expressed concerns over the dangers of playing in this manner, as Wade has already hurt his knees and wrists after mid-air collisions with larger players. Wade has also established himself on defense for his ability to block shots and accumulate steals.

[MANNAM Basektball Terms] 1. "Point Gaurd" Basketball Position

This time is about the Basketball Position!
In MANNAM Warriors, There is no specific position to each players.
But from today, I am gonna watch Warriors members, so that i can catch their position.
This is not only because i learn the position, but also we have to go out the "Victory Cup Basketball League". We need our position each ! Yeah! haha

< Point guard >

The point guard is the team leader and play caller on the basketball court. It's the reason why "Point Guard" needs to be a good ball handler, and strong leader who is good at pass and and decision making skills.

 As we know, basketball point guards were not tall, but fast players. Also this is still on going. However, Magic Johnson did a magic to the way point guards were used. He was a big so that he can use his height and size to get great passing angles. Magic's success has opened the door for all sorts of point guards. The key to a strong point guard today is leadership, passing, and running the team.

At 6 feet 3 inches, Westbrook is an above average rebounder, averaging 4.7 rebounds throughout his first four seasons. Westbrook is constantly able to get to the free throw line, contributing to the average of 19.0 points per game throughout his first four seasons. A minor weakness cited in Westbrook's ability is his three-point percentage; he has averaged .289 on three-point field goal percentage for his first four seasons.

On March 4, 2012, Williams scored a career-high and Nets franchise-high 57 points against theCharlotte Bobcats. He broke the previous team record of 52 points held by Mike Newlin and Ray Williams. It was the most points scored in the NBA that season and the second-most points scored against the Bobcats by one player in a single game, second to Kobe Bryant. Lopez went down again with a sprained ankle and would be out for several more weeks.

Williams remained optimistic that he would resign with the Nets, but was noncommittal as he said he wanted to keep his options open and become a free agent at the end of the season. Williams reiterated this stance on March 16 after the Nets failed to land All-Star center Dwight Howard at the trade deadline.

Due to concerns of his height and his often-sprained ankle, Lawson slipped to 18th in the 2009 NBA Draft, where he was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, they had already drafted 2 point guards, making Lawson expendable. This gave the Nuggets an opportunity to get a quality player as they traded their future draft pick to Minnesota in exchange for Lawson. Lawson got a better opportunity in Denver, serving as a backup to then-Nugget Chauncey Billups. In a 105–79 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on November 13, 2009, Lawson made his Denver teammates and the Pepsi Center crowd jump up out of their seats when he dunked on then-Laker center D.J. Mbenga (7'0") and Josh Powell (6'9").

After Billups was traded to the Knicks on February 22, 2011 as part of the Carmelo Anthony trade, Lawson became the Nuggets' starting point guard. On April 9, 2011, Lawson became the first player in NBA history to make his first 10 3-point attempts to start a game. He went 10–11 from behind three-point range and finished the game with a career-high 37 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.

 The Chicago Bulls are a professional basketball team based in Chicago, Illinois, playing in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). They play their home games at the United Center. The Chicago Bulls were founded in 1966 and are well known for having one of the greatest dynasties in NBA and sports history during the 1990s, winning six championships in eight years with two three-peats.

 All six championship teams were led by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and coach Phil Jackson. The first three championship teams included the likes of Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, John Paxson and B.J. Armstrong, while the latter three had Luc Longley, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Toni Kukoč, and Dennis Rodman on the roster.


The Bulls won an NBA record-72 games during the 1995–96 NBA season and are the only team in NBA history to win 70 games or more in a single season. Jordan was definitely the best main character, but the other two player were the best except Jordan. So, some said to me "They were the best in Supporting Roles. Even they could be the main character in other time and places."
